Following 20 years of experience across all aspects of dentistry, Imi has created The Residency to give clinicians the opportunity to step behind the scenes and see how he approaches complex implant and surgical cases in his own clinical environment.
Each Residency is built around a focussed, single day module:
Immediate Implant Placement - guided implant placement with soft & hard tissue augmentation and immediate loading.
Lateral Window Sinus Augmentation -with potential simultaneous ridge augmentation and / or guided implant placement.
Ridge Preservation - management of a moderately complex case.
Soft Tissue Surgery - connective tissue grafting.
Soft Tissue Surgery - free gingival grafting and vestibuloplasty.
Full Arch FP1 - implant surgery with combined soft tissue augmentation & immediate load restoration.
Complex Ridge Rreservation - management of more advanced extraction and grafting cases.
Immediate Resin Bonded Bridgework - combined with hard and soft tissue augmentation.
Consultation & Treatment Planning - case assessment, decision making and workflow.
Implant Complications - management, troubleshooting & implant removal.
The morning is spent alongside Imi in surgery at Cheltenham & Cotswold Dental, observing a live patient case from surgical set up through to treatment delivery.
Following lunch at Hotel du Vin Cheltenham, the afternoon is dedicated to an intimate, hands on practical session using pigs heads, combined with case planning, discussion and the opportunity to explore clinical decision making behind the morning’s treatment.
The Residency is deliberately restricted to 4 delegates, allowing for close observation, open discussion and genuinely hands on learning.
You will see far more than the surgical procedure itself. You will have the opportunity to observe Imi’s complete clinical workflow, including surgical set up, photography, nursing interaction, treatment planning, surgical execution, decision making and treatment delivery, both in the mouth and on the screen.
The aim is not simply to demonstrate a technique, but to share the judgement, workflow and decision making behind it, including what to do when a case does not exactly go to plan.
For clinicians who have already completed Preserve, Restore and Replace, The Residency represents the next step in learning: taking those principles into the clinical environment and developing the confidence to apply them to more complex cases in your own practice.
